Thanks for writing about this! Something that often stops me from stopping is a shame that I've "failed" the thing. I've been trying to explicitly see it as a success when I stop things when I don't want to do them - write those moments down, and celebrate them.

I allow myself to go to gym then turn around and leave and count as going to 1 session

This started abt a few years ago and has now morphed into a regular habit notwithstanding your once in a hundred years pandemic.

Goes in line with trusting yourself to just stop and be ok with it
